  • Releasing Emotions with Copaiba and Lemongrass Essential Oils

Friday is a day to focus on forgiveness in the KULTURED Community. It's a sacred community for people who want to heal, grow, love and live Abundantly Ever After.

With Mercury Retrograde happening and so many changes in my life, I wanted to do some releasing.

A lot of emotions have surfaced for me during the past few weeks. I spent a lot of time paying attention to what was coming up, writing in my journal, and doing tarot card readings, along with meditations.

I went DEEP! Diving into areas that I felt were healed, yet something was still there!

I could have run from it, but I decided to sit with it and explore it, and it was the BEST decision allowing me to grow and transform in many ways.

There is freedom in facing fears and allowing yourself to express your emotions.

Message About Releasing Emotions

Two Fools have some wisdom for us today. The Tear Fool  and The Thought Fool .

These two showing up together was no mistake. Often crying is seen as a weakness and that is so far from the truth.

Lyfe Jennings said it best “crying is like taking your soul to the laundromat”. Not only does it allow you to release emotions; it’s natural and necessary.

When you don’t release your emotions, it creates blockages. That can manifest in different ways, including illness, discomfort, and pain.

You can cry tears of joy, sorrow, anger, and even laugh until you cry! The point is to release your emotions.

A lot of us, especially women in my community, carry so much emotional and spiritual baggage because we won’t release the past hurts. Let yourself grieve and heal. Allow yourself the blessing of joy and bliss.

Allow yourself to experience the full range of emotions. Your emotions are real and valid. You can take off the cape. You can be soft and vulnerable.

Allow your emotional release to transform how you interact with others. That’s where The Thought Fool comes in at. Think about how your words and actions affect those around you.

When you’re carrying emotional blocks, you don’t care about hurting others. The cycle of hurt continues on but if you can be a light and beacon of positivity for another that cycle stops with you.

I knew this message was the THIRD sign for me to do the work that I needed to do.

Emotional Aromatherapy: Releasing Emotions

Some of the things I wanted to explore were related to my oldest daughter. There was a lot of stuff around that which I have mentioned in different interviews and even in the personal video posted inside the Community.

If you want to see the rawness of this work make sure you join right here.

Essential oils have helped me recover from a lot of tough situations. They were my go to when dealing with depression and I wanted to make sure I was fully supported in this healing work, so I turned to my oils.

I choose Copaiba and Lemongrass to help me release emotions. Copaiba is great for unveiling repressed emotions and Lemongrass supports emotional cleansing. I wanted to bring the emotions up and release them and combining these two oils was the Holy Grail of emotional support.

Emotional Releasing Session

Bring on the tears! So for this session I had my oils, my journal, and I lit a blue candle, with the intention for healing to take place.

I used Copaiba by inhaling it and I also applied it to my heart area. Then I sat and started writing. As I wrote so much came up! I cried and released. It felt wonderful!

I thought that it was one issue but as I wrote I uncovered the heart of what I was really feeling. That was powerful, and now I know where to focus future healing sessions and how to bring closure to the past.

Lemongrass was a great addition to this process.

I didn't want to uncover emotions and just have them hanging there. So I used Lemongrass on the soles of my feet to cleanse the emotions that came up.

Often we stuff our emotions down, minimize them, or express them in the wrong way. I know because I've done it!

There was a point in time where I was emotionally numb. Being able to sit with uncomfortable emotions, acknowledging and releasing them is so important for your wellbeing.

Get Support for Yourself

If you're struggling with emotions, get support. Work with a therapist, get coaching, or confide in a trusted friend. You don't have to go through this by yourself, and you don't have to continue to hurt.

This was such a beautiful process and I felt lighter physically and emotionally. I identified some other areas that I'd like to explore deeper and will continue to work through this emotional releasing and cleansing with Copaiba and Lemongrass.

There are many more essential oils that can help with supporting emotions. Emotional aromatherapy is important to me because that's how I first started using essential oils. I used them to support me when I was dealing with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and they made a huge difference!
