Health and Wellness is Important

These days we live hectic and busy lives, and we sometimes forget to take time out for ourselves. It is so important to take the time to make sure you are healthy and happy. So, girls, here are some health and wellness tips you can use to help you look after yourself.

Massage

One of the best ways for a woman to relax is to get a full body massage. 

I recommend a massage to anyone who hasn't experienced one yet. It’s the absolute best way to relax and be pampered. A massage helps to release tension in your tight muscles and will relieve any of the stress and anxiety you might be feeling. 

When I was pregnant with Savvi I got a weekly massage and it was amazing! Prenatal massage helped me so much during my pregnancy. I will be training to learn more about prenatal massage and taking a doula certification program soon, to provide deeper levels of support for mamas.

A massage is the key to looking after your health and wellness in the best possible way.

Yoga

You know how I feel about yoga! Improving your mental health is as important as improving your physical health. And one of the best ways to improve both is to take up yoga

You might never have done yoga before, but trust me, it’s one of the best things you can possibly do. 

Yoga is all about finding your inner calm and channeling negative thoughts and energy out of your body. It’s important to get rid of the stress in your life and learn to relax your body and mind. You will benefit so much from doing this, and it will make you feel so much better. 

So, try to make sure you take up yoga as soon as you can. Stay tuned for events, including yoga classes right here at the Spiritual Love Sanctuary!

Time of the Month Tips!

We all have to deal with that time of the month, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. 

It’s a natural thing that all women experience. And that's why you need to make sure you take measures to look after yourself during this time. A lot of the tips relating to your period are all about improving comfort and preserving dignity. 

Painkillers and heating pads provide so much relief (along with a little junk comfort food). I used to avoid taking medicine for pain, but I don't do that anymore. No need to suffer when there are things available to help!

I also love drinking raspberry leaf tea. A hot cup of tea always comforts me during my cycle.

These are important for your well-being, so don't overlook them. Now there are alternatives to traditional tampons and pads, like moon cups. I haven't tried them but have friends that switched to this type of product because they are chemical free, and it saves money.

Get Some Rest

Sleep is so important! 

As a busy mom and business owner, sometimes I get an inspiration rush and only get a few hours of sleep, but it does catch up to me eventually. I

f you find you're tired all the time, it’s probably got something to do with the fact you aren't resting well enough. It’s incredibly important that you get as much rest and sleep as you can.

It’s essential for getting through the day, and operating at a fully functioning level. As a mom, I recognize the need for plenty of rest whenever I can get it. And I’m not just talking about sleeping here. 

It’s important to give your mind and body a break each day. You can do this by just relaxing and lounging around when you get in from work. You’ll also find that making changes to your bedroom provides the perfect environment for sleep.
